The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Soldiers Table

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a colorful mix of personalities, and a gripping narrative showcasing celestial beings, fiends, and dark forces expanding in power within the urban setting.

Warning: Key plot points for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 are included.

The Warrior Group Revealed

The third episode ended with a major cliffhanger and revealed the premier party of heroes who will branch out from the central cast to undertake their independent quest, distinct from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table features Teor (portrayed by Travis), Thimble (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

With a large ensemble, it was evident from the outset that keeping everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, connecting the characters’ stories before splitting into three smaller tables: Fighters, Planners, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who prefer a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven narrative style where non-violent answers are rare.

Upon first impression, characters like the squeamish cleric the cleric might appear unsuited, but the actions of the third episode demonstrate why these specific adventurers are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the group knows exactly where to proceed after a brutal first encounter with the enemy group.

An old friend of the deceased character—whose passing started the story’s plot—used The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, entering Thjazi’s hideout, attacking Thimble, and taking all the enchanted items to auction.

The traitor then settled his debts and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, north of the city, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each character has a personal reason to leave the city the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and best friend, desires revenge.
  • Kattigan is familiar with Timmony and cautions that it is a dangerous place.
  • The warrior and The cleric, having defied his relatives’ demands to execute the fighter and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
  • However, their status as important members in the powerful family could enable the group access locations they usually can’t.
  • Additionally, Teor vowed a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his salvation and will now go with him everywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are sought by the authorities that control Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making staying in the city too risky:

  • Thimble and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The cleric turned against House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
  • The fighter is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This results in them little choice but to travel to the remote area in search of the antagonist.

Future Episodes

Based on the latest episode’s post-show segment, we learn that the warrior group will be absent next week, leaving the rest of the players to round up the Explorers and Planners groups.

Audiences can expect discovering which players will be in which group in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, released on the upcoming Thursday.
